Advice for Students Travelling to Canada
If you are travelling to Canada in order to further your education then there are number of factors you will need to consider to make your trip as hassle free as possible.
Baggage
Airlines restrict the amount of baggage you can take with you on your flight, so if you are studying in Canada for a few years and have a lot of personal belongings you want to take with you then it is a good idea to forward bulky items by ship in advance. This is a very cheap way of getting your main belongings to Canada, so make an itemised list and don’t forget to keep all of the way-bills for your records.
Immigration Requirements
Once you have been accepted for a course of study in Canada you will need to apply for a study permit, and this should be done at least three months before you need to commence your classes.
