What Courses Do I Need to Study to Become a Wildlife Photographer?
If you are interested in wildlife and you also have a talent and passion for photography then you may have already considered a career that utilises both your skills and your interests. Wildlife photography is a difficult field to get into, and requires a great deal of determination to succeed, but the rewards for achieving in a job that you enjoy and have a passion for are immeasurable.
Getting Started
You will need to buy yourself some decent camera equipment, and start practising taking shots in various environments and building up your skill and experience in spotting and capturing unique photo opportunities. You will need to develop a good portfolio of key shots, which will show that you have an excellent understanding of the techniques of photography as well as an empathy and understanding of the type of wildlife you are shooting
Courses
There are some specialist courses you can take to become a wildlife photographer such as the BA (Hons) in Design in Wildlife and Environmental Photography offered by Lancaster University or the BA (Hons) Marine and Natural History Photography from the University College Falmouth.
